Indian Army JAG 29 Notification: The Indian Army’s official career website published the JAG 29 Notification on January 19, 2022, and registration is open from that date forward. The deadline to apply for the JAG 29 is February 17, 2022. The 29th JAG entry 2022 course (Judge Advocate General Branch) will begin in October 2022 at OTA Chennai. It is a special entry for male and female law graduates to join the Indian Army’s JAG branch.


JAG 29 Notification: Applications are invited from unmarried male and female LAW GRADUATES for a Short Service Commission in the Indian Army for the Judge Advocate General Branch.


JAG 29 Eligibility Criteria

Nationality:


A candidate must either be: (i) A citizen of India, or (ii) A subject of Nepal, (iii) A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, and East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii) and (iii) above shall be a person in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India. A certificate of eligibility will, however, not be necessary in the case of candidates who are Gorkha subjects of Nepal.


Age limit

21 to 27 years old as of July 1, 2022. (Born not earlier than 02 Jul 1995 and not later than 01 Jul 2001; both dates inclusive).


JAG Educational Qualification :

An LLB Degree with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks (three years professional after graduation or five years after 10+2 examination). Candidates must be eligible to register as advocates with the Bar Council of India/State. The candidate must have graduated from a college or university recognized by the Bar Council of India.
